Meet the dentist
Dr. Maren Holt, DDS
Dr. Holt grew up in a small Ohio town where the nearest dentist was an hour's drive away. She opened Thistlebrook so Wrenfield families could have a dentist close to home — one who takes the time to listen.
She is known for explaining every step before she starts, and for being especially patient with nervous adults and first-time kids. Outside the office you'll find her in the garden or out on the river in a kayak.

Are you accepting new patients?
Yes. Call us or use online booking. A first visit usually includes an exam, any X-rays you need, and a cleaning — plan on about an hour.
What should I bring to my first visit?
A photo ID, your dental insurance card if you have one, and a list of medications you take. You will fill out your health history at the office.
I get nervous at the dentist. Can you help?
Many of our patients feel the same way. Tell us when you book. We go at your pace, explain each step, and you can pause at any time.
I don't have dental insurance. What are my options?
Our in-house membership plan covers cleanings and exams for a yearly fee, plus a discount on other treatment. For larger treatment we can set up a payment plan.
When should my child first see a dentist?
Around their first birthday, or when the first teeth come in. Early visits are short and mostly about getting comfortable.
How do I cancel or reschedule?
Please call us at least 24 hours ahead if you can. We understand that life happens.
